Promising Practices
Discover promising practices that spotlight innovative, effective programs helping immigrants thrive in Canada. These resources provide practical insights and real-world lessons that organizations can adapt and apply to strengthen their own settlement and integration initiatives and better support the communities they serve.
Promising practices are innovative programs that show strong evidence of effectiveness in achieving their intended outcomes.
Beyond delivering positive results, these initiatives demonstrate approaches that can be adapted, scaled, and replicated in other communities. By highlighting what works, the project supports organizations in building on proven ideas and developing programs that better support immigrants and the communities that welcome them.
To identify these programs, Pathways to Prosperity issues calls for nominations once or twice each year, inviting organizations from across the country to share their work. The project goes beyond recognition: it also explores the key elements that make these initiatives successful. By documenting how programs operate, the contexts in which they were implemented, and the outcomes they have achieved, the project uncovers insights that can help other organizations strengthen their own efforts.
The Promising Practices Project is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and led by Pathways to Prosperity
Through this initiative, Pathways to Prosperity identifies, analyzes, and shares promising practices that are advancing immigrant settlement and integration in Canada.
